Darul uloom faiz-e-akbari is an Islamic institute in india.It is located at Luni sharif ,a small town in Bhuj distric Gujarat.
This institute is attribute to a great Islamic spiritual guide Hazrat sayed Ali akber shah jilani rahmatullah alaih .

The school was founded in 1388 a.h.by Hazrat sayed Mahmood shah jilani worthy son of Hazrat sayed Ali akber shah jilani.The back ground of Darul uloom has a big story we can not explain in these short pages.

The most important reason to establishing darul uloom was spreading non-islamic atmosphere in Islamic socity in Luni village ,like Hinduism,christain civilizetion etc.secondly a large number of muslims people completely ignored the Islamic learning.These intervention in religious affairs compelled Hazrat sayed Mahmood shah jilani to set up a Islamic madrasa where the basic of religion to be thought. He dicided that a Islamic institute should at once be started.accordance with this decision the foundation of Darul uloom Faiz-e-akbari was laid on 1833AH.

Establishment Objectives and Activities

In starting ,it was a small madrasa called “Maktab”and it provided education only nearby students ,but soon Hazrat Mahmood shah jilani has succeed to change it into a big madrasa called “Darul uloom” where a large number of began to come from out of the city.

Very shortly the darul uloom became famous for its quality education.After some years,The building of Darul Uloom Faiz-e-akbari was not sufficient to accommodate the students.It need a specious for the madrasa out side of the village.so after boughting a spacious plot of land Hazrat Mahmood sha jilani laid down the foundation.This way the “Madrasa akbariya”changed into “Darul Uloom Faiz-e-Akbari” .

Students belonging to different states of India such as Gujarat, Rajasthan,Bengal,Bihar, Maharashrta, Utterpardesh etc, educationally fed in Darul Uloom Faiz-e-Akbari.At this time there are more than 18 teachers and employees in Darul Uloom who carry out their concerned duties with deep sincerity ,and more than 200,students live in hostel.and pursue their studies in free of cost.
